Joe Melanson
Chief Sales Officer, Aquent

As the CSO, Joe is responsible for Aquent’s overall sales strategy, structure, processes, and results.

Joe has twenty years of leadership experience in the staffing and business process outsourcing industries. Joe started his career with Aquent in 2001 as vice president of Aquent Solutions, where he was responsible for all aspects of the solutions business, including outsourcing, consulting, and marketing project management technology. He grew the solutions business from $5 million in revenue in 2000 to more than $20 million in revenue in 2004 across North America, Europe, and Australia.
 
Prior to joining Aquent, Joe served as vice president of sales for Benchmark HR, which provided a full range of human resources services to high-tech start-up companies. He also was the principal of Outsourcing Strategies, which assisted companies in developing outsourcing service offerings and supporting strategy, structure, processes, and tools to launch new business units.
 
Joe has served as a vice president for Office Specialists/Accustaff/Randstad, where he led two outsourcing divisions, Strategix and Federal Services. He grew the divisions from $15 million in revenue to more than $40 million in revenue during his tenure and through two acquisitions.
 
Joe began his career at Accountants Overload in 1987 and then joined Talent Tree Staffing Services as a sales representative. Over a period of eight years, he assumed responsibilities at various levels, including the following positions: branch manager; area manager; vice president of strategic account relationships; vice president of sales and services for the Southern California region, including twenty-one profit centers and seventy-five staff; and, finally senior vice president of sales and service for the Boston, New York, and Philadelphia markets.
 
Joe has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Northeastern University.
