AWARD School comes to Singapore

AWARD (Australian Writers & Art Directors Association) is bringing its highly respected training courses to Singapore.

The Association has been conducting courses for 23 years. One famous graduate who is well-known here is David Droga, now Worldwide Creative Director for Publicis.

The AWARD School concentrates on ideas and creative thinking. The focus is on inspiration and originality as well as relevancy. Tutorials are held within ad agencies and this will continue here in Singapore . The top agencies have agreed to supply lectures and tutors for the course. At the end, the students emerge with a portfolio of ads across all mediums.

Recruitment specialists Aquent Singapore and mega outdoor company Clear Channel are sponsoring the move to bring the training programme into Singapore.

This is a tremendous opportunity for young creatives. Unlike Australia, the school is open to young people who already have started work. Applications for the 12-week part-time course opens next month on www.awardonline.com.

Locally, Allsorts will be the organizers but you can get further information from Lucy McKee on email: lucy@awardonline.com or phone (61) 2 9281 8004.
