Last month, Aquent were once again a proud sponsor of the amazing Creative Mornings London and attended their breakfast event.
The theme for February was ‘symmetry’ and Archie Proudfoot, a gold leaf artist and sign painter who specialises in reverse glass gilding, gave an amazing talk on the importance of symmetry in art.
Archie uses the techniques and aesthetics of traditional signage to explore our relationship with language. What started as a hobby to satisfy his sense of craftsmanship has led him to produce pieces for clients such as London Cocktail Club and Audi. His work has been featured at The Other Art Fair, The Affordable Art Fair, The London Art Fair and Clerkenwell Design Week.
Check out the impact that symmetry, the bauhaus movement and pop culture has had on his work here.
And if you want to make sure you’re there in person next time, sign up to the Creative Mornings London newsletter. They’ll keep you informed of the dates, themes and speakers for each month’s event.
