The Controversy Around Zero Hour Contracts

As you've probably seen in the news recently, there's a big outcry regarding the unfairness of zero hour contracts. Not sure exactly what they are? Well, employers are now allowed to hire agency staff with no guarantee of ongoing workand often pay lower salaries than permanent employees receive.

We believe this treatment of agency talent is unjust. At Aquent we believe in fairness, equality and agreed contractsof both pay and timeframes. This is why we offer a temp-to-perm (AKA “Talent Bridge”) option. This allows talent to join a team at one of our client sites on a 3-month trial basis, at an excellent daily rate, before they both make that all important long-term, permanent commitment to each other. If for any reason the fit between the Talent, the team and the employer is not quite right, employers can simply choose another Talent for the role and the 3-month contract will start again.

The video above will give you more insight on how Talent Bridge works for both clients and talent. We think you’ll be pleased to hear there isn't a zero hour contract anywhere in sight.
