The Event Operations Lead will be a member of the EMEA Event Marketing team, responsible for the planning and execution of pan-European event marketing programs. These events are attended by customers, prospective customers, sponsoring partners, analysts, media and employees. 

The team place great emphasis on defining event goals and objectives from the outset of each project to ensure that they remain fully aligned to achieving our business goals. Event objectives may include increasing brand awareness, identifying new sales opportunities, developing and advancing the company’s sales pipeline, customer education and training as well as celebrating customer success. A fundamental part of the event marketing manager’s role will be helping to plan and execute event activities that map to achieving these goals, by finding new and innovative approaches that reflect favourably on the brand. 

Key Responsibilities:

Working as part of the EMEA Event Marketing team, you will lead and/or support the planning and execution of high-profile pan-European event programs. You will take responsibility for core elements allocated to you, which will predominantly include: 

• Operations and logistics management for conferences and roadshows 
• Event marketing support for EMEA regional event programs as required. 

Primary responsibilities within this role will include, but are not limited to: 
- Event operations and logistics 
- Budget management 
- Agency management 
- Food & beverage management 
- On-site staffing & hotels 
- Attendee registration & housing liaison 
- Ancillary events & training programs 
- Venue selection and contract management 

Additional Responsibilities may include: 
- Event project management 
- AV/ technical management 
- Stand design and build management 
- Partner sponsorship & expo 
- Executive meetings and product demonstration schedule management 
- Development of external event communication plans including websites and registration site, invitations, social media etc. 
- Coordination of internal communications related to event programs, providing updates on key milestones and action plans 
- Post event reporting and event surveys 
- Partnering on additional event programs as requested based on need or opportunity (pre-event and on-site) 
- Registration management 

Essential Skills & Requirements: 
• Experience and demonstrated success in event project management, logistics and conference production for 1000+ attendees 
• Tradeshow management experience 
• Demonstrated agency management experience 
• Excellent budget management skills 
• Exceptionally detail-oriented, able to focus and perform accurately - Ability to work well under pressure and continually meet deadlines 
• Adaptability to successfully manage multiple, concurrent project demands within established timelines in a fast paced, rapid-growth environment 
• Experience of working as part of a global team 
• Proactive, resourceful, self-starter, comfortable working autonomously with a strong sense of urgency and work ethic 
• Strong verbal and written communication skills 
• Strong influencing and diplomacy, comfortable liaising with senior stakeholders 
• Excellent team player with proactive, can do attitude 
• Ability to think differently and execute exceptionally 
• Travel will be required as related to assigned events. This may increase as needed for research and onsite coordination of expanding events portfolio 
• Exceptional computer skills (at a minimum): Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint 

Desirable Skills: 
• Proactively bring new innovative ideas and improved processes to the team for consideration 
• Continually help to identify, propose and implement cost-savings opportunities 
• Knowledge of best-practices and market trends which could enhance events 
• Experience working in IT/ HR industry is considered an advantage 
• Multi-lingual skills would be an advantage
