Job Description:

A retail-obsessed integrated communications agency with a unique culture, are looking for a fashion/lifestyle Copywriter. You will have personalty and charisma, someone who has a passion for fashion to work on a fantastic highly regarded fashion retail client. 


THE ROLE:
 Overseeing all copy and upholding tone of voice for one of the agencies largest accounts 
 Signing off copy [when asked] at artwork stage, checking copy from adaptation agencies, checking Junior Copywriter’s copy for radio and bigger projects like bespoke briefs, advertorial templates, event names, and checking Freelance Copywriter’s work.
 Developing copy and, along with designers, creative concepts for campaigns.
 Taking part in brainstorms and sometimes leading them, image sourcing, coming up with concepts for content, TV, brand activation, radio etc. Writing rationales to explain the core idea, and helping designers to annotate their presentations.
 Developing copy for variety of media including press ads, advertorials, TV scripts, digital, POS and radio.
 Mentoring a Junior Copywriter. Giving constructive feedback on radio copy, and bigger projects as mentioned above and ensuring they update Lost and Found blog.
 Presenting work internally and to the client. Presenting and discussing copy and creative concepts.
 Attending radio recordings and directing the voice talent, amending scripts if needed for time purposes.
 Keeping up-to-date with fashion, retail, marketing and cultural trends.
 Writing for translation i.e. come up with headlines that don’t rely on wordplay, understand when complicated copy ideas might not translate well.
 Approve back translations, checking that they work well with the tone of voice.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
 Genuine passion for fashion
 Keep up-to-date with design, retail and cultural trends
 Impeccable attention to detail when it comes to spelling and grammar
 Strategic thinker, able to explain the thinking behind your copy
 Excellent communicator and confident presenting to clients
 Collaborative and creative, comfortable working with designers and art directors and developing creative concepts
 Strong long and short form copywriting experience
