As the EMEA Ads Retail Marketing lead , you will provide strategic and executional leadership across our B2B marketing activities for the region, in the most important vertical of our business - Retail. AdWords/Shopping $10B on a yearly basis. You will serve as the EMEA Marketing Thought-leader and representative working directly with regional/global stakeholders, Eng and country B2B marketing teams to manage key initiatives such as: Grow My Store, Retail Acceleration Programme, as well as campaigns, and coordination of local targets, events, and local customization requests, and overall strategy to maximize local market growth of retailers advertising with Google. You are a strategic thinker, problem solver and exceptional marketer with proven ability to multi-task in an extremely fast-paced environment. The role will have significant visibility with directors and EMEA executive leadership, so good stakeholder management is a must .
Key priorities: Grow My Store, project management, and launch of V2 in UK and US, + other 8 markets
Marketing Retail Acceleration Programme - Pilot in H1, and roll out in H2
Spotlight campaigns, manage EMEA regional B2B retail strategy, dedicated to acquire, retain, or increase spend by Mid Size and large advertisers on a seasonal basis
Manage Retail regional team, and coordinate local retail campaigns ensuring proper measurement, industry focus, creative assets use and effectiveness (ROI)
Develop partnerships internally to increase the value proposition of Google in retail (Google Cloud, LCS, PSA, etc). Potentially develop external partnerships if needed.
Conduct business analytics to support Marketing strategy and manage stakeholders in sales
Support executive communication within Marketing and to cross-functional teams.
*BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience (MBA a plus). *8-12 years of experience in consulting, marketing, retail or related fields *Exceptional cross-functional people management skills. A proven ability to proactively establish rapport, credibility and influence, and drive results throughout a highly complex organization.
Demonstrated analytical success. Demonstrated capacity for developing and understanding strategy, value proposition, brand attributes, and being able to execute
Deep understanding of Google's products and technology industry around retail/shopping offering
Excellent written and oral communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills, as well as impeccable business judgment to deal with senior stakeholders
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven work environment in often uncertain and ambiguous circumstances.
