Job Description:

I am currently recruiting for a Conference Sales Manager for a role with a media company with offices based in Chiswick Park.

The overall purpose of this role is to identify, establish and build a pipeline of new opportunities with corporate customers and conference agencies by selling conferences that drive revenue and profit targets. You will be responsible for identifying and making contact with key decision makers in order to understand their conference requirements. You will also maintain strong relationships with existing corporate customers retaining and growing revenues.


  • Implementing sales strategies

  •  Deliver against revenue targets and within budget

  • Determine if enquiries are profitable and a good business mix for the relevant venue

  • Build understanding of each prospects company, their conferencing requirements, decision making process, criteria and timescales

  • Complete an agreed number of appointments each week



  • Experience within the conferencing, event management or corporate hospitality industries and a good understanding of the requirements of corporate customers

  • Experience in generating in excess of £1 million revenue on a yearly basis

  • Significant track record of new business and Account Management focused sales within a regional field-based role

  • Knowledge and experience of the Request for Proposal process (RFP)
