Job Description:

A fun and inspiring publisher in the heart of Theatreland is looking for a Junior Marketing Manager. You will be responsible for delivering multiple marketing plans and working with 3rd party products and services to drive ambitious growth across consumer revenues. You will own and manage the marketing plans from concept, execution, and analysis. The role reports into the Head of Digital Marketing and will have one direct report.


Marketing and optimisation


• Responsible for all marketing across non-magazine subscription products (beauty boxes, holidays, courses, events, cookery school, and other consumer revenue products)

• Works closely with the commercial teams to drive sales for advertisers/3rd parties through carefully planned marketing, content, and segmentation

• Responsible for the full marketing mix - email, page ads, inserts, direct mail, telemarketing, partnerships, content marketing, PPC, SEO, email, social marketing, and display

• Works closely with the CRM Acquisition manager to ensure marketing is fully optimised, scheduled and relevant data is selected

• Working to a set agreed budget and forecast with the product stakeholders

• Manages the relationship with digital agencies ensuring all acquisition volumes are met within agreed CPAs

• Responsible for the product marketing testing strategy across all marketing channels

• Manages the CRO beauty boxes programme with our conversion optimisation agency in order to grow conversions online

• Owns the product’s marketing briefs where all product information is kept (product description, its content, pricing, brand/product guidelines, SWOT, USPs, creative guidelines and customer journey QC) working closely with the product managers/stakeholders to collate these

• Responsible for all content marketing - liaises directly with internal web editorial teams for all content marketing across our brand sites and newsletters

• Work closely with the wider teams in order to market non-core subscription products ie single issues, special promoted covermounts issues, bookazines, vouchers, and merchandise



• Identify and introduce new innovative marketing channels and partners in order to find new audiences for beauty boxes and other products


• Owns the product research, surveys and feedback - works closely with the  research team to understand trends and set up surveys and to allow for more targeted marketing

Reporting and analysis

• Responsible for all insights and reporting - Create, manage and update the full campaign analysis for all Beauty Box activity with key reporting metrics along with learnings and suggestions for improvements

• Manage the Google Analytics reporting for online identifying opportunities in order to increase conversion and optimise the customer journey

• Brief source codes, URLs and optimised landing page copy to the subscription bureau as well as the customer’s journey QC

Data optimisation- working closely with the Data Growth team:


• Work closely with the CRM Data Growth manager to ensure all data is collected with 1st party opt-ins and automated through APIs from 3rd party suppliers

• Work closely with the CRM Data Growth manager to ensure there’s focus on data growth to find new audiences and support products sales

• Budget management skills

• Analytical skills to forecast and identify trends and challenges

• Understanding of traditional marketing channels

• Solid knowledge of website analytics tools like Google Analytics
