The role: Account Manager (Medical Education)
Salary: £35,000pa to £45,000pa
Job type: Full-time Permanent
Location: Remote/ London

The Role:
The Account Manager is a key role within our agency. You will have excellent account handling skills and the confidence to manage the team and core projects on client accounts. You will take responsibilities within client business and working across a range of projects, you will take pride in delivering exceptional educational programmes and will be highly organised and forward thinking to ensure that your clients’ needs are met. You are looking to develop, grow and go above and beyond. You are a role model to the junior team.

Your written and verbal communications skills will be excellent. You will be good at working in teams across multiple projects and being involved in busy and varied accounts. You will work closely with and report into your Account Director. You will understand that modern and effective communication demands integrated solutions that cross disciplines and you will work well within multi-disciplinary teams so that the work we deliver is best in class.


  • On-going effective management of client accounts under your remit, gaining the respect and trust of your teams.
  • Client liaison and building strong relationships, gaining the respect and trust of the clients
  • Flawless implementation of account activities
  • Ensuring projects have SMART objectives and are thoroughly evaluated
  • Proactive development of existing accounts through identification of opportunities for growth and conversion into new or ongoing work from clients
  • Demonstrate good forward planning and anticipation skills and demand excellence of the account team
  • Demonstrate innovation and creativity with your work

Budget management:

  • Ensuring accounts under your remit are profitable and over-service is kept to a minimum
  • Financial reporting and phasing of accounts assigned to you
  • Accurate, timely invoicing, budget tracking and reconciling
  • Ensuring timesheets are completed accurately and on time

Developing business:

  • Contribution to identification of new business opportunities in target areas
  • Developing proposals and accurate budgets for prospective and existing clients as part of the team
  • Confident presentation of new business proposals

  • Understanding of end user needs (Patient, KOL, HCP, client)

Minimum requirements:

  • A science or related degree
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience (and at least 1 within a Medical Education consultancy)
