This role will currently be worked remotely with onsite working in Central London in the foreseeable future, therefore you must be based in the UK.
You will have paid holidays and if applicable, be entitled to an annual bonus.
This is a 12 month contract with the possibility to extend beyond this depending on future projects.
Our client is looking for a strong Mid-weight Interaction Designer with end-to-end experience, including Visual Design skills with no more than 5-8 years of experience to join their Android Mobile team on a 6month contract.
You'll be working within a team of 3, collaborating with a UX Researcher and the UX Lead, as well as the wider team including Engineers/Developers and Stakeholders.
Our client caters to many different markets across the globe, including India, Africa and Latin America, and with major investment, this team will be working to launch an Android mobile device this summer in another country, which is incredibly exciting!
This position will be focused on creating a device that will help users transition users from basic phones to smartphones. You'll be looking at features and ways to improves these to ensure better usability and a smooth transition for the users.
As an Interaction Designer, you will be taking on a lot of the production work, prototypes and some visual design and then handing over production assets to the Engineers/Development team. You will need to have some experience with user testing and studies to test the prototypes with.
You will hit the ground running and be comfortable working independently, collaborating with both your immediate team and the wider team, including working with Stakeholders.
You must have experience working on Mobile devices, ideally Android, however iOS is absolutely fine too. You will need an understanding of mobile constraints and end to end involvement in the lifecycle of a product.
If you have Video design capabilities, that would be a great added bonus!
