Why we need you?
As the UX Lead, you will encourage, develop and champion a team of talented, hardworking User Experience Architects and Writers. You will lead by example ensuring the team has support on both design driven and business driven initiatives. You will be integral to the customer centric design process the team adopts today, as well as contributing to the continued growth and company awareness of user-centred design. In this role, you will demonstrate a passion for user-centred design and crafting engaging user experiences. Collaborate with managers of other UI, Product, and Development teams to secure consistency across all products.
Who we’re looking for?
You will be a great people manager, leading a team of UX architects and UX writers offering support, leaning in when you need to, all the while empowering your team. Conduct one to ones and encourage personal growth in the team through effective goal setting and training Be responsible for the vision for User Experience at a group level, while collaborating with your cross-brand peers. Lead in a cross-business UX Design guild, joining the UX practices across the business through shared findings and education.
You have a deep knowledge and understanding of information architecture and interaction design across a variety of devices, touchpoints and platforms. You will be an advocate for user research, championing the involvement of customers during product design and development, ensuring insights are shared and understood.
You will form part of the CXD management team to help embed flawless processes and collaborate on the delivery of outstanding cross channel designs. Work closely with Market Research and Business Intelligence and be responsible for making sure we design and build the best experiences for our customers.
You’ll drive the tools and processes for UX Architects, working with UI designers by sharing responsibility for prototype production for user testing research. You will ensure UX Architects embed their work in the CX Design process, clearly communicating design decisions and working closely with product teams, whilst sharing your insights to help inform design choices, helping others understand the customer needs and you will be an advocate for UX standard methodology, helping others to understand what good looks like and raising the overall maturity in the business.
You will own our Customer Research Repository, been accountable with your team for the upkeep and distribution of research to the wider business.
You will possess an infectious personality and an ability to get both your team and key partners to buy into your vision
Be a leader who puts the team first, is intent on removing roadblocks and facilitating the best working environment for team members.
You wull have experience in building a tight knit UX team of great performers.
A comprehensive understanding of user centered design and experience of being an integral part of a design team from an in-house environment or similar agency set up.
Have the ability to critique and constructively give feedback to the team, in a way that challenges, while encouraging a culture where people feel safe to fail and push themselves.
A strong communicator and be able to build on current relationships and create new ones within the business and encourage your team to do the same.
You will have significant experience working as an in-house UX Practitioner with comprehensive understanding of User Centered Design.
Experience of being an integral part of a UX team within an in-house environment, working collaboratively in cross-functional teams with designers, product managers and developers.
Have experience creating experiences for all channels (responsive and native) and be proficient in Axure Figma, and other UX/prototyping tools.
Cross platform knowledge, that allows you to speak the language and engage with all business areas.
As the ideal candidate, you will have:
Crafted career competency frameworks and career plans for a design team.
Experience working in the online gaming or other regulated industry and working on products/brands across different geographies and countries is desirable.
You will have a knowledge and a real passion for the latest UX practices, tools and industry standards, that extends outside of the 9-5, engaging actively in the UX & design community.
