Job Description:

I am currently recruiting for a Paid Media Manager for my client in the FMCG space. This is a role offering a 3-6 month FTC contract and has a salary of £40-45k pro rata.

This role is an essential part of the Marketing team, working with the Digital Strategist to develop the digital media strategies for some of the UK’s biggest FMCG brands. You will be responsible for recommending insight-led paid strategies and KPIs for my client’s brands. You will ensure our output is strategically robust. You will bring a wealth of knowledge and marketing experience and be in-tune with the latest marketing trends.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop digital media strategies for our brand and ecommerce campaigns
  • Work closely with our media agency who plan and buy traditional media for our brand comms
  • Plan and buy paid-social media campaigns across Facebook, Snap, Pinterest and Twitter
  • Plan and buy media across YouTube, PPC and display
  • On-going campaign reporting
  • On-going campaign optimisation
  • Develop and implement ecommerce strategies to drive purchase on retailer ecommerce platforms
  • Proactively approach business with relevant innovative & integrated solutions
  • Provide inspiration to the department on new and innovative marketing
  • Budgeting and tracking spend
  • Working closely with the Strategy team on campaigns


Qualifications and Professional Experience:

  • 4+ years working in a marketing role – either agency or client side
  • Strong and persuasive communicator
  • Excellent written and verbal communication – flexible to different stakeholders and situations
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Delivering under pressure to tight deadlines within budget
  • Adaptable to change in an evolving business environment
  • Experience in resolving the problems inherent in any new project, whether prioritisation, compliance, budgetary or technical
  • Takes a proactive and flexible approach to work and be comfortable with a dynamic environment with constantly changing priorities
  • Outstanding communication skills: ability to convince, persuade and bring stakeholders, peers, and colleagues with you


Key Competencies and Skills:

  • Strong familiarity with digital, brand, commercial and media metrics
  • Solid understanding of cultural insights and their application in media
  • Channel expertise including strong knowledge of social, PPC and display
  • Data savvy with the ability to translate complex information into actionable insights
  • Broad knowledge of creative and ability to work with creative to develop output
  • Can build alliances with key stakeholders & form good relationships
  • Ability to work autonomously and alongside the Strategy and Accounts team
  • Demonstrable project management experience with a track record of turning strategy into tangible results
