Our client, a high growth start up that provides DNA gene testing for dogs, is looking for a Digital Content Strategist -- an innovative wordsmith, who loves working across messaging mediums, to join their Growth Marketing team. If you love crafting copy for campaigns, social media, and digital experiences this is the role for you. They're looking for someone with deep brand experience, who is comfortable writing copy for a direct-to-consumer brand with a scientific spin. This role is a key contributor to building the brand voice and personality for both newcomers and current customers. Your work will fuel many forms of communications including video scripts, emails, digital ads, and much more.


What you'll do:

  • Strong copywriting and storytelling foundation – ability to conceive and execute fresh ideas, headlines, and compelling stories that delight your audience.
  • Strong experience on large cross-channel and/or direct-marketing initiatives across mediums, including social, campaign, email, and ad copy.
  • Identify key messages & stories—understand the audience and key messages of a brand or campaign and articulate the message powerfully.
  • Edit content to ensure grammatical accuracy, AP style, message clarity, and a consistent voice throughout all content.
  • Understand and translate brand and style guidelines.
  • Conduct research and analyze internal and external trends to formulate ideas and drive the brand forward.
  • Participates in and contributes to new campaign activities as assigned (i.e. brainstorm sessions, concepting big ideas etc.)
  • Execute against the editorial, social, campaign, and email calendars to meet aggressive deadlines.

What experience we're looking for:

  • Ability to work collaboratively across the organization.
  • 3+ years of experience writing compelling copy for consumer-facing companies.
  • Expert in AP style.
  • Experience tracking the performance of content and iterating on successes
  • General understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices a plus
  • Passionate and knowledgeable about brands, copy, and driving engagement
  • Strong copywriting and storytelling foundation – ability to conceive and execute fresh ideas, headlines, and compelling stories that delight your audience.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work independently and manage projects with many moving parts
  • Ability to use WordPress a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple projects of varying complexities and meet deadlines.
  • Must submit a portfolio of writing experience showing work across multiple mediums.
