Job Description:

My client, a global investment management firm is looking for an outstanding Copywriter.

 

As a copywriter, you will be responsible for producing long copy for corporate reports in layman's terms. You would be working on a variety of ad hoc internal and external pieces e.g. award entries, brochures, and articles. You would sometimes be involved in collating content from multiple sources, and other times starting from scratch (with a brief of course!). You would be required to follow an in-house style/tone of voice and also be capable of adopting the style/tone of voice for key individuals e.g. from senior leaders.

What you’ll do:

Writing and editing:

·  You will plan and structure ideas for corporate content, eg reports, articles, and case studies.

·  Create engaging, humanising copy for corporate reports and digital content on a variety of topics, based on different sources.

·  Build stories, letters, and case studies based on basic input.

·  Edit content from other sources including subject experts to apply the tone of voice and editorial style.

· Simplify complex content into concise and easy-to-understand narratives which link back to our corporate strategy.

 

Interviewing and researching:

·  You wil talk to stakeholders across the business to source ideas and background information for report content.

·  You will have the ability to extract concise key messages from a large volume of content.

· Interrogate data and other reports to find relevant details and information.

 

Working with designers and visual communicators:

· Engage with designers and creatives so that they can prepare graphics and visual representations of content to support your written words.

The knowledge, experience, and qualifications you need:

•   Top-notch writing and editing skills.

-   Excellent interpersonal skills, able to build collaborative relationships at different levels of seniority.

•  An interest in investment management.

·  Experience adopting different style guides and tone of voice, depending on the audience.

 

Knowledge and experience that would be an advantage

•  Experience and knowledge of corporate reporting requirements.

Knowledge, interest, and familiarity with financial services, ideally investment management

  or journalistic background.
