Job Description:

Aquent is looking for a talented and experienced Production Designer to join our client's inclusive and welcoming team. This Production Designer role is for a 12-month contract, is based in London and offers an excellent salary of £118,040 - £131,144.

As a flexible Production Designer, you will come from a UI/UX background and have experience enabling product designers to ship high-quality products. You will primarily work alongside designers, engineers, and marketing to ensure that designs are consistent and cohesive across our client's ecosystem. Please note that the hours for this position are 9 am – 6 pm, but you will infrequently need to take calls with the US and amend your days accordingly.

Production design responsibilities will include:

  • Organising and maintaining a large library of design files (Dropbox/Google Drive)
  • Creating, revising, and maintaining individual component files (Figma and Origami Studio)
  • Providing detailed design specs for components
  • Exploring new variants for existing components
  • Updating and maintaining design system master sheets
  • Regularly communicating documented component updates to internal groups
  • Creating, organizing, and assigning tasks (passing design specs to engineers, updating the component library, etc)
  • Troubleshooting issues with design files (layer structure/organization)
  • Providing help/guidance in relevant internal feedback groups
  • Conducting extensive design audits (iOS/Android, screenshots/video recordings)
  • Creating Keynotes for workshops and presentations

To succeed in this production role, you will need to be highly detail-oriented, have 2+ years of relevant design experience, and have excellent Figma skills. You will also need experience with Dropbox/Google Drive and proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud. In addition, you should have experience designing for mobile, TV and desktop (TV most important). Familiarity with iOS, Android and WWW design is also essential.
