If you have Design Management experience and are looking for a new role in London, Aquent wants to hear from you. We are seeking a collaborative Design Team Manager to develop a team of up to eight people, influencing strategy, reviewing designs, and managing the performance of team members. The role comes with a salary of £70,000-90,000 based on experience and a wide range of great benefits.


As part of the Player Account Manager team in London, you will be directly responsible for product delivery and maintain a solid understanding of how it fits into the larger product ecosystem at the company. This role follows a hybrid approach to working, allowing you to combine working from home with working in their modern offices.


To give you an idea of the Design Team Manager role, here are some of the responsibilities you will take on in your first weeks:

  • Scoping and prioritising projects, anticipating or identifying areas of risk and trade-offs, weighing out opportunity cost and ROI when resourcing projects
  • Proactively reviewing designs early and often with management, team and peers
  • Ensuring qualitative and quantitative research is guided by customer empathy and applied to designs
  • Helping to integrate Content Design strategy


You will need three or more years guiding, recruiting, and developing high-performing teams to apply for this Design Manager position. We are also looking for eight years experience in Interaction Design, Visual Design, Product Design, Service Design, or a related field with UXUI combined capability. A Bachelor’s degree in Product Design or industry equivalent experience is required, as well as expert experience in managing the design process, Ways of Working through Agile Transformation, and design methodologies.
