BPO Lead, App Monetization

The Partnerships organization within the tech giant focuses on creating strategic partnerships with some of the most exciting companies to connect people to the experiences and brands they love. Business Planning & Operations (BP&O) team helps the Partnerships leaders build better businesses through strategic planning and operational effectiveness.

The BP&O team is looking for a lead to support the Americas and EMEA business of the platform’s App Monetization business in GAMES Org. In this role, you will partner closely with the leader of the Americas and EMEA as well as with cross-functional leaders in Business Marketing, Sales, Product Marketing, Product Management, Engineering, and Finance. As a critical thinker and trusted thought partner, you will enable leadership to make analytically-driven strategic decisions and help increase operational rigor of the business.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about social media apps, and have a deep understanding of the Ad Tech ecosystem, a strong analytical and consultative strategic mindset with a track record of driving tangible results, experience in working with senior stakeholders from both commercial and technical backgrounds, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. 


Strategic Planning

  • Be a thought partner and influencer with leaders and other internal stakeholders on key business initiatives, programs, resource planning, and special projects
  • Frame decisions and contribute a strong point of view on how to build out the business
  • Be the person that can connect the dots between teams to identify areas for improvement, efficiency, and collaboration
  • Develop and implement go-to-market strategies for new markets, products or verticals, including organizational design to enable these strategies
  • Stay up-to-date with trends in the industry, including knowledge of current/potential partners


  • Lead core sales operations processes for the team, including quarterly and annual goal setting and planning.
  • Ensure we have strong plans and KPIs in place at a regional and market/vertical level
  • Lead operational reviews and business analytics to drive decision-making and review progress on goals and priorities (e.g. monthly/quarterly business reviews)
  • Drive key leadership meetings and facilitate alignment on key issues and opportunities
  • Conduct business research and analysis and provide actionable insights for senior leadership to support decision-making (e.g. revenue, customer, market insights)
  • Oversee building of standard business review documents and business requirements for reporting
  • Identify areas of process improvement and build plans for teams to improve
  • Work closely with internal communications teams to ensure leadership is communicating constantly and transparently within the team and across the platform

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, economics, business or other relevant/quantitative disciplines
  • Subject matter expertise in the Ad Tech ecosystem
  • 10+ years of experience in strategic planning, sales/business operations, or marketing operations, preferably in the digital media space
  • Distinctive problem solving and analytical skills, with a proven track record of driving projects from strategy to execution
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills – able to lead/influence stakeholders at all levels of an organization
  • Strong passion for helping build new businesses and for the social media platform's products
  • Experience and familiarity with SQL, and with CRM tools like Salesforce
  • Superior Excel and Powerpoint skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration
  • Professional background at a leading management consulting firm and/or in a relevant strategy/operations team
  • Demonstrable experience working cross-functionally with leadership in developing and executing successful plans
  • Change management experience is a plus
