Job Description:

Privacy Policy Manager, Youth

Responsibilities

  • Support in gathering and transforming EU key privacy policy regulatory challenges, specifically on Youth, into a coherent internal and external strategy and help the team towards finding strategic alliances, partners and external engagements.
  • Synthesize complex information for a wide variety of internal stakeholders.
  • Help to coordinate the team’s interaction with policymakers, associations, local champions, start-ups, experts and NGOs and long-term relationship building in the EU.
  • Work closely with cross-functional global teams on a range of policy issues, including strategically drafting submissions and engagement plans for local policy audiences, to ensure internal coordination and support each other’s work.
  • Contribute in designing innovative strategies and campaigns to shape the public and political climate of opinion around Meta.
  • Coordinate work with subject-matter experts and help prioritize the team’s work.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5 years work experience a privacy policy setting or working in EU institutions, or Member States regulatory bodies or industry trade associations active in the privacy or digital environment
  • Including experience managing outreach with diverse stakeholders within policy advocacy or in a government position
  • Keen understanding of complex regulatory privacy policy issues in the EU
  • Demonstrated interest in the intersection between privacy and social media, online content and advertising, e-commerce, and/or technology
  • Support in managing a larger external network across key privacy and youth stakeholders in the EU in the private and public sector
  • Familiarity with the EU legislative process
  • Excellent communication skills in English and another EU language – written and verbal
  • Experience navigating dynamic work environments and prioritizing multiple simultaneous projects
  • Willingness to travel frequently (when company travel resumes)
  • Good judgment, sense of humor, determination, perseverance under pressure
  • Sensitive to contribute to an environment that promotes diversity and inclusion
  • Ability to remotely work with decentralized teams across the globe
  • Ability to collaborate with a decentralized team that allows each person to grow and play to its strengths
