Job Description:

Aquent is looking for a skilled and talented Backend Developer to join our client's inclusive and welcoming team. This contract Developer role is remote in the UK and comes with a favourable daily rate of £400-£540 and the chance to be part of a positive and diverse workplace culture.


As a flexible Backend Developer, you will be part of a cross-functional delivery team that includes product owners, developers, designers and quality assurance specialists. You should be comfortable writing backend code in C#, want to learn more about native app development and be excited to try new technologies and ways of working.


To apply for this Backend Developer role, you will ideally have a computer science, mathematics or engineering degree, but this is not essential. However, you should demonstrate the ability to produce real working mobile app products and be passionate about software engineering. In addition, you will need a good grasp of the technologies you've used and those you're keen to learn. An interest in the following is also essential:

  • .Net and C#

  • Hosting using AWS technologies, such as CloudFront, S3, Fargate, EC2, Lambda, SNS, SQS and DynamoDB

  • Using tools such as Postman

  • Unit testing, particularly NSubstitute, XUnit and FluestAssertions


As a vital member of the team and in return for your expertise, inclusive approach and commitment, our client will provide an excellent contract rate of £400-£540 per day and the chance to join a passionate and welcoming team.
