For our client, a global pioneer in technology within the retail industry, we are looking for an experienced Senior HR Advisor to join their team in Amsterdam. As an HR Advisor (Maternity Cover), you will play a crucial role in supporting day-to-day HR operations within the Benelux market and providing strategic guidance to the retail population.

This position requires a strong understanding of Dutch labour laws and regulations, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders internally and externally (3rd party talent agencies & government authorities (UWV etc).

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive HR support to the retail population, including but not limited to employee relations, performance management, and onboarding.
  • Stay updated on Dutch labour laws and regulations to ensure compliance in all HR practices.
  • Collaborate with management to address employee concerns and provide effective solutions.
  • Manage and maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
  • Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, providing timely and effective resolutions.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between HR and organizational goals.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of HR processes and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a HR Advisor with in-depth knowledge of Dutch labour laws and regulations, preferably in a retail environment.
  • Strong Dutch and English communication skills, both written and verbal. 
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. 
  • Proficient in HRIS and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
