We’re seeking a skilled Editorial Assistant to join our client, a dynamic communications agency for 4-6 week’s contract.
This is an excellent remote opportunity for someone with strong communication skills, keen attention to detail, and a love for creating high-quality content.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the editorial team in researching, writing, and editing features, web content, reports, and other communications.
- Proofread clients’ editorial content to ensure clarity, accuracy, and adherence to tone.
- Help create and manage engaging social media content and assist with posting on relevant platforms.
- Develop and maintain schedules and deadlines for content projects.
- Commission work from freelance writers and designers as needed.
- Work collaboratively with our in-house editorial and design teams to ensure project alignment.
- Undertake general administrative duties, including audio typing.
- Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients.
Experience & Essential Skills:
- Native or bilingual proficiency in English.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven experience in writing and publishing articles.
- Strong ability to produce clear, concise, and articulate content.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong multitasking abilities and capacity to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good understanding of social media platforms.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Desirable but Not Essential:
- Experience working in a communications or marketing environment.
- Basic knowledge of SEO principles.
- Training or a degree in journalism, communications, or a related field.
- Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat.
