Market Research Analyst

Our client, the world’s largest dedicated security technology company, is looking for a Market Research Analyst in Santa Clara for a long term contract assignment.

You will join the teeam that is responsible for the market research for the B2B segment of the Company’s business – much of the work is focused on Product, Brand and Channel Partner research. Although much of the work is focused on the Product research, this role will be expected to be able to liaise with stakeholders from other functions as required.

Specific Responsibilities/Functions
- Overall Project managements for a range of product research studies undertaken for the B2B business
- Management of the research vendors appointed for the different studies.
- On-Going liaison with the relevant internal stakeholders
- Development of report for product research
- Supporting the Marketing Ops teams with research highlights to be included in communications that are distributed
- Management of customer data pulls for relevant research projects.

Experience, Knowledge and Skills
- 6-8 years experience in Market Research and specifically Product research and online research
- IT Background would be important - security software experience a real benefit.
- Good analysis skills.
- Excellent Project Management skills
- Good Communications skills – Much of the communication work is undertaken over conference calls – so good spoken English will be a pre-requisite for this role.
- Written English needs to be a high standard as we need to review the reports prior to distribution.
- Ability to liaise with stakeholders across different functions.
- As their experience develops it would be useful for this person to present the reports within the results briefing sessions.
- Ability to demonstrate self motivation and the ability to work independently in a focused fashion that delivers projects within the time scales agreed

Working with the Product Management teams, we are involved in developing research studies that support their product roadmap plans. From scoping the project, implementation and then feeding back the results to the stakeholder teams.
We also help the Product Marketing teams in supporting research insights that could be contained within white papers, communications materials. We undertake approximately 3 of these types of projects a year.

We undertake a yearly online global brand tracking study that covers all segments: Consumer, Small, Mid, Enterprise. Feedback from this study is used to help support the corporate and field communications programs.

Channel Partner Survey:
The Company undertakes a yearly global channel partner survey that tracks a range of business metrics that enables the channel team to understand which elements of the channel program are working well and where we need to focus attention. This is a very comprehensive study cover over 100 countries as well as different partner types.

• This is a 12 month, full-time, W-2 contract position located in Santa Clara, CA
