We are currently recruiting for a Content Publishing Assistant role for our client, a major international gaming provider based in Reading. The role is offered on an initial contract running until the end of June, after which it may be extended.

As Content Publishing Assistant, you will be assisting with adding Video & Music content onto the homepage across all the UK & European pages.

The team you would be working in is responsible for publishing promotional content for the client's homepage, working with a wide variety of partners and stakeholders to develop promotion ideas, build appropriate graphics and experiences, write and/or edit content, manage publishing schedules, and ensure user experience meets the highest bar for quality, consistency, and technical accuracy.

Key areas of responsibility:

Primary role: As a member of the Apps & Production Operations team, this position is to support the EMEA Programming team to curate and publish content on the homepage relating to entertainment content.

• Support Producer in creation & publishing of application content promotions on the homepage in all supported European territories
• Using proprietary CMS (content management system) tool, build & publish content to the homepage on a weekly basis, according to schedule
• Support team in production of live events, supporting stakeholders and managing timelines through production and launch
• Adhere to all deadlines and escalate potential issues as necessary
• Ensuring programming and projects follow internal policies & procedures and actively seek any changes in policies
• Update Producer clearly and regularly on status of all weekly tasks and on-going projects
• Attend regular meetings as requested by Producer
• Adhere to internal pre-Localisation and Localisation policies with all translation vendors, including meeting of deadlines & adherence to length restrictions and escalate issues to Producer
• Coordinate graphic asset requests
• Develop intimate knowledge of bespoke content management tools in order to create content and resolve technical issues autonomously

* Keeps dashboard fresh with new content on a daily/weekly basis across all markets with 100% accuracy
* Demonstrates ability to manage and resolve technical issues
* Understands regional sensitivities and priorities
* Identifies asset requirements with keen attention to detail
* Aids in the production and construction of content using content management tools
* Works well as part of a team, as well as independently
* Creative thinking to resolve roadblocks and issues
* Proactive with fast reaction skills when content may require changing/updating quickly
Experience and Professional Qualification Requirements:


* A strong proficiency with content management tools and processes
* Excellent communication skills
* Experience of working in a deadline-driven environment
* Experience of working to schedules in a daily or weekly content publishing environment
* Proven working knowledge in creating content for multiple audience types in an online environment, preferably in the entertainment industry
* Experience & proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
* Intermediate Photoshop
* BA/BSc or equivalent
* Ability to absorb & note information in meetings and support Producer


* HTML 5
* LUA / Flash Action Scripting knowledge
* Understanding in analytics and data trends for content
* Fluency in one more European languages beneficial but not essential
* Strong editorial skills, particularly an ability to write concise headlines and descriptions that adhere to tight character restrictions
* Degree in information management, communications, journalism or related discipline
