Proposal Manager/Writer

This position is critical to developing a compelling response by translating requirements, sales strategy and solutions into engaging, customer-ready documents. This role’s contributions directly impact our proposal quality and win rate.

As part of the proposal team, you will work with a variety of individuals to develop proposals and presentations from early conception to production and delivery. You will:

 Support the end-to-end proposal/RFP/presentation response process to ensure all expectations, actions, and timelines are understood and met
 Guide the proposal team in developing proposal win themes and ensure they are reflected throughout the proposal
 Write, edit, and format proposal drafts and final versions to ensure they are accurate, well-written, and persuasive
 Promote company-wide understanding and adherence to the RFP process
 Continuously improve the proposal process through best practices
 Upload newly created content into Qvidian knowledge base

Skills & Qualifications
Our successful candidate will have a “can-do” attitude and possess:

 A bachelor’s degree or equivalent
 Experience coordinating and writing proposals
 Excellent writing and communication skills
 Strong understanding of the proposal process
 Extensive working knowledge of document production using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint and the ability to manage large documents
 Ability to work under pressure as part of a cohesive team
 Proficiency in Excel
 Experience with electronic content delivery including Ariba or equivalent for response uploads and Flash or equivalent for presentations
 Experience with proposal content knowledge bases such as Qvidian
 Membership in or certification from the Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) desired

3. Can you show me samples that made your proposals stand out—content or design that grabs a reader's attention—making the proposal smart and compelling?

4. Can you show me samples that cleverly incorporated information about the prospective client, making the proposal more about them?

5. Can you show me samples of interactive or video presentations which wowed the prospective client and enabled them to better understand a concept/benefit/capability?
