Our client is looking to bring on a Senior Manager, Creative AI Specialist – Copywriting. AI is growing fast, & we’re scaling our team to help enable & accelerate our creative. As a Creative AI Specialist – Copywriting, you’ll help leverage artificial intelligence to create compelling, engaging, & high-quality content that resonates with our customers. You’ll dive deep into AI capabilities & ways to optimize, working alongside our partners to create & edit written content using AI tools. You’ll refine AI-generated content to ensure it meets Walmart’s brand voice standards & help develop innovative solutions as new challenges & opportunities arise.
This is a newly created role, and they’re seeking a Copywriting Manager who is genuinely excited about the potential of AI to enhance optimization and streamline processes within content. While deep AI expertise isn’t required, the ideal candidate will have experience leveraging AI tools and championing their use across teams.
**PLEASE NOTE: This role is hybrid, 3 days onsite. You must go in to one the hubs near you, hybrid is a must. Bentonville, AR, Hoboken, NJ, San Bruno, CA, or Los Angeles, CA**
You will make an impact by:
- Leading the implementation & optimization of AI copy across multiple channels including website, CRM, paid media, in-store signage, & more.
- Integrating AI into work processes, decision-making, & problem-solving.
- Serving as a thought leader to elevate all work & ensuring adherence to the brand voice & style guide across formats & channels.
- Fostering cross-functional relationships with key business partners to create deeper understanding of AI business goals, needs, & limitations, as well as building trust & alignment.
- Crafting the prompts that are given to large language models to get the optimal creative outputs.
- Owning end-to-end concept development & building strategic frameworks that ladder to the brief &/or business objective.
- Experimenting with AI tools & technologies
- Reviewing/editing AI-generated copy, adjusting to align with brand voice & style guide.
- Translating strategy into meaningful creative in multiple channels.
- Demonstrating ability to work with ambiguity & promote continuous learning & improvement.
- Contributing to a high-performance culture delivering multiple projects & priorities in a fast-paced & growing segment of Walmart business.
- Staying up to date with advancements in AI technology & industry trends to ensure creative innovation.
Qualifications:
- Portfolio is required (demonstrating excellent copywriting skills)
- 8 years of experience in creative, communications &/or marketing execution.
- 5+ years managing copy in an online creative or digital field. Retail experience is a plus.
- Experience working with AI-powered tools or software for content creation or marketing.
- Familiarity with AI writing tools such as ChatGPT & other relevant platforms.
- Ability to analyze technical/complex systems, identify gaps, & create actionable solutions.
- Strong organizational skills, a strong sense of ownership & accountability, & the ability to lead projects, communicate effectively, work autonomously, & be a self-starter.
- Proactive, comfortable with ambiguity, & flexible in the face of shifting business needs due to the rapidly changing nature of AI, marketing, retail, & ecommerce.
- High emotional intelligence, excellent relationship-building skills, able to manage expectations well across a wide variety of partners & expertise areas.
