Make a real difference in the fight against harmful content! As a Data Scientist you’ll play a crucial role in shaping how users interact with enforcement decisions, directly impacting millions of people daily. Partnering with engineers, product managers, and designers, you’ll optimize appeal systems, balancing platform integrity with user experience and regulatory compliance. This is a high-impact role where your analytical skills will drive meaningful change on a global scale.
As a Data Scientist, you will:

  • Collect, organize, interpret, and summarize statistical data to improve product design and development.
  • Apply expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining, and data presentation to understand user interactions.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to solve problems, identify trends, and uncover opportunities.
  • Influence product decisions and launches through data-driven insights.
  • Perform data analysis on feature-level and strategic initiatives to guide team direction.
  • Develop strategic narratives based on analytical findings and priorities.
  • Define key metrics and questions to measure product/feature success.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Experience performing quantitative analysis and data mining on complex datasets.
  • Product Analytics background
  • Proficiency in SQL.
  • Proficiency in Python.
  • Proficiency in at least one statistical or mathematical software package (R, SAS, or Matlab).
  • Experience with applied statistics or experimentation (e.g., A/B testing) in a business setting.
  • Experience communicating analytical results to product or leadership teams to influence strategy.
  • Knowledge of quantitative analysis techniques, including clustering, regression, pattern recognition, or descriptive and inferential statistics.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Experience with machine learning techniques.
  • Familiarity with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
  • Knowledge of relational databases.
  • Experience with large-scale data processing using distributed systems.
