As a Social Marketing Manager, you will:
- Lead crisis management efforts, assessing brand challenges and escalations on social media, determining potential risks, and recommending communication strategies.
- Influence marketing strategy and business decisions by collaborating with cross-functional teams, providing expert advice based on social media trends and insights.
- Develop and implement frameworks for quantifying and assessing risks and opportunities on social platforms, establishing benchmarks for escalation and reporting.
- Create and maintain crisis playbooks to educate internal teams on rapid response processes and best practices.
- Manage the 24/7 social on-call program, optimizing operations and ensuring seamless coverage for rapid response planning and escalation scenarios.
- Conduct in-depth social listening analysis, gathering, processing, and interpreting data to provide actionable insights and inform strategic decision-making.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 6+ years of experience in marketing, crisis management, public affairs, or social analytics.
- Proven experience managing cross-functional projects and collaborating with diverse teams.
- Expertise in social measurement tools and datasets (e.g., Brandwatch, Crimson Hexagon, Zignal Labs, Sysomos, Sprinklr, SimilarWeb, Netbase, Quintly).
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey data-driven narratives.
- Willingness to work flexible hours to provide coverage outside of traditional business hours.
- A passion for online communities and cultures.
- A proactive and inquisitive approach to problem-solving.
- Experience collaborating and coordinating interdisciplinary response efforts in complex, fast-paced global organizations.
- Experience leading agency partners.
- Experience leveraging AI to enhance insights, strategy, and/or operations.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $70.57 to $78.42 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
