What You’ll Do:
- Lead the development and testing of systems and services.
- Participate in shaping the technical architecture of the product.
- Translate product requirements into user stories and technical solutions.
- Deliver highly available and scalable services in a production environment.
- Mentor other engineers and contribute to the team’s technical growth.
- Generate ideas for new initiatives and technologies.
- Collaborate with project leads, product managers, and other software developers.
Must-Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 4+ years of programming experience, ideally on a modern stack.
- 2+ years of Java, Kotlin, or Scala programming experience.
- Proven understanding of relational databases and ORMs.
- Experience working on a SOA or microservice-based application.
- A collaborative mindset and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Passion for problem-solving and delivering impactful features.
- Experience working in a collaborative coding environment, including code reviews and pull requests.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Interest in personal finance.
- Experience scaling highly available, mission-critical systems.
- Full-stack experience in areas such as systems (Kafka, Docker, POSIX), databases (Postgres), or front-end (JavaScript/TypeScript, React).
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $99 to $110 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
