We are recruiting for a data engineer for a 12 month contract, paying £50p/h PAYE for a leading technology company.
As a Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of data-driven products. Your expertise will be essential in designing and building extensive datasets, optimizing growth strategies, and crafting seamless user experiences for a global audience.

What You’ll Do:
- Partner with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and translate them into actionable insights.
- Design, build, and launch sophisticated data models and visualizations that support diverse use cases.
- Define and manage Service Level Agreements for data sets within your area of ownership.
- Solve complex data integration challenges using optimal ETL patterns and frameworks, working with both structured and unstructured data sources.
- Enhance logging solutions to improve data quality and system performance.
- Own and optimize existing production processes, refining complex code through advanced algorithmic concepts.
- Streamline pipelines, dashboards, frameworks, and systems to simplify data artifact development.
- Influence product and cross-functional teams to identify data-driven opportunities for maximum impact.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Strong experience working with data in roles such as Data Analyst, Data Scientist, Data Engineer, or similar.
- Strong experience with SQL, ETL, data modeling, and at least one programming language (e.g., Python).
- Proven ability to handle independent projects end-to-end with a strong product sense.
- Advanced SQL skills and intermediate Python skills for pipeline development.
- Expertise in data modeling techniques.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Experience with data visualization tools and creating dashboards.
