As a Joint Trench Program Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful implementation of greenfield projects, ensuring timely delivery of conduit to designated sites, and collaborating with design companies to facilitate the construction of essential network infrastructure. Your work will directly impact the expansion of connectivity and contribute to the organization’s mission of bridging the digital divide.

This is a 6 months, remote contract with occasional visits at the local sites (Denver, CO). This role is open for a limited time. Responsibilities:

  • Select and submit greenfield projects into project management software, tracking progress through each implementation phase.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost estimates for outside plant (OSP) projects.
  • Complete required forms and assessments for exception requests.
  • Manage the timely delivery of conduit to approved project sites.
  • Consolidate joint trench performance data using established standards.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for joint trench design companies, ensuring proper delivery of conduit plans and as-built documentation.
  • Identify new greenfield opportunities using data analysis and market research.
  • Determine the presence and potential joint trench activity of other fiber providers in targeted areas.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Three years of experience managing construction projects for cable/fiber operators, specifically in a joint trench environment.
  • Five years of experience in network operations, network engineering, or network construction.
  • Experience with CAD, GIS systems, and FTTH records/as-builts.
  • Experience working with telecommunications providers, power companies, or cable providers.
  • Experience in Greenfield designs and builds.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Three years of experience designing fiber networks and/or building to a designed fiber matrix.
  • Familiarity with common GIS applications.
  • Experience working directly with home builders and developers for joint trench participation.
  • Five years of experience in network operations, network engineering, or network construction.
  • Experience managing projects involving cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working with vendors and management.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $44.25 to $49.17 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
