This is a short term contract until 12th March 2026, offering £256.64 – £285.00 per day – 40 hrs/week – (PAYE). This role is open for a limited time. We’re seeking a passionate and driven Software Development Engineer to join a dynamic team focused on building robust software solutions. **What You’ll Do:**
* Design and develop innovative software applications for workstations and mobile devices to support daily operational needs.
* Create sophisticated web tools and real-time dashboards to optimize resource allocation and enhance operational processes.
* Improve and evolve critical engineering services, ensuring high performance and reliability.
* Drive the standardization of operational processes, significantly reducing manual touchpoints and boosting overall efficiency.
* Implement automation solutions to streamline operational tasks, minimize manual effort, and accelerate response times.
* Directly influence key operational metrics, including efficiency, response times, cost, and speed of service delivery.
* Collaborate with Product Managers, Operations teams, and fellow engineers to develop clear business solutions and technical strategies.
* Conduct in-depth analysis of business requirements and craft comprehensive low-level technical designs for implementation.
**What You’ll Bring:**
**Must-Have Qualifications:**
• Technical experience: Experience with cloud computing (preferably AWS) and software development including programming in any modern object-oriented language (preferably Java and Python). Some frontend development experience preferable (React + Javascript / Typescript).
• Stakeholder Management: Ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Autonomy and Drive: Capable of driving software development and resolving issues independently.
