We are seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented individual to craft compelling synopses that guide and excite viewers. In this pivotal role, you will be the voice that captures the essence of diverse content, helping audiences navigate a vast library of stories and ensuring they find exactly what they’re looking for. This role offers the unique opportunity to combine your love for storytelling with your linguistic expertise, contributing to a global platform that champions diverse narratives. You will be instrumental in shaping the initial impression of a wide range of content, from gripping dramas to lighthearted comedies, ensuring each synopsis is a miniature masterpiece.

This is a 6 months, hybrid contract, offering up to £400 per day, 40 hrs/week (PAYE). The shorlisted candidates will be contacted ASAP. Due to the high volume of applicants, we may be unable to reply to each applicant individually.

**What You’ll Do:**

* Craft concise, creative, and engaging synopses for a diverse array of films and television shows.
* Write compelling summaries for content originating from the Polish market, translated into English.
* Collaborate closely with a Writing Strategist to ensure all copy aligns with editorial briefs and market-specific nuances.
* Apply editorial principles to create accurate, inclusive, and creatively nuanced synopses that resonate with varied audiences.
* Manage multiple writing assignments, maintaining high creative energy for each project, from reality TV to high-budget historical dramas.

**What You’ll Bring:**

**Must-Have Qualifications:**

* Full native proficiency in English, demonstrating excellent writing and editing skills.
* Full native proficiency in Polish, enabling deep understanding of source material.
* Proven experience in writing synopses for digital streaming platforms or broadcasters.
* Experience in editing articles, blog posts, reviews, or feature stories focused on film and television.
* Mastery of AP style and an exceptional eye for detail.
* Strong research skills to gather context and quickly synthesize information from various sources.
* A collaborative and selfless approach to contributing to a world-class editorial team.

**Nice-to-Have Qualifications:**

* Additional knowledge of other European languages beyond English and Polish.
