Our American software client is seeking a Procurement Specialist to join their team on a contract basis. This role requires a self-directed professional who can independently manage purchasing activities, drive strategic sourcing initiatives, and optimize supplier relationships.

This is a 12-month contract, offering £70.000-74.000 per annum, pro rata (PAYE) – 37.5 hrs a week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end sourcing processes, including requisition management and contract execution (e.g., RFPs).
  • Utilize Coupa software to streamline procurement workflows and enhance spend management.
  • Manage purchase orders and change orders across multiple stakeholders.
  • Evaluate supplier performance, foster long-term partnerships, and address underperformance when necessary.
  • Support contract preparation and analysis, ensuring alignment with company policies.
  • Collaborate with upper management, accounting, and finance teams, as well as external vendors.
  • Analyze procurement data to optimize purchasing strategies and inventory management.
  • Negotiate favourable terms on price, quality, and delivery timelines.
  • Expedite orders and maintain supplier communication to ensure timely delivery.
  • Track and monitor requisitions, invoices, and supply requests to manage inventory efficiently.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Strong procurement expertise, (Marketing Sourcing experience would be a bonus).
  • Experience managing end-to-end sourcing, from requisition to contract execution.
  • Proficiency in Coupa or similar procurement software.
  • Detail-oriented with a strategic approach to supplier evaluation and contract management.
  • Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
