Job Title: Software Dev Engineer
Working pattern: Remote (must be UK based) – there will be travel required to Berlin
Length of Contract: Early June until 2nd February 2025

We’re on the lookout for passionate Software Development Engineers to collaborate across 2 different projects; Accessibility and Regional Flexibility. You’ll have the opportunity to shape the next generation of products and services from the ground up. If you’re a creative problem-solver with a knack for innovation, we want to hear from you!
Accessibility project:
Ensuring compliance with the European Accessibility Act by tackling 490 accessibility issues. Your responsibilities will include:
- Fixing 485 “easy” to “medium” accessibility issues
- Collaborating with teams to resolve ambiguities
- Participating in Wa11y Q&A sessions and Accessibility office hours
- Implementing code changes and conducting thorough testing
- Ensuring all issues are addressed and resolved promptly
Skills required:
- Proficiency in frontend technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and more
- Strong onboarding skills and adaptability to new codebases
- Prior experience with web accessibility features is a plus
Regional Flexibility project:
Be part of the initiative to set up infrastructure in a new Region. Responsibilities include:
- Migration to JDK17 and automation of infrastructure creation
- Optimization for Graviton and replacement of non-supported services
- Transition from NetScaler to Tardigrade for load balancing
- Successful deployment and testing in the new region
Skills required:
- Experience in Java Backend Development, Infrastructure Automation, Cloud Services, Networking, and DevOps
