About the Role
Our client is seeking a Junior Publicist (Contractor) to support the International Film and Unscripted Series publicity team, with a stronger emphasis on unscripted series. Based in London, this role will assist in the execution of UK PR campaigns and help manage key publicity initiatives across multiple European territories. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the international film and unscripted series publicity team department tasks, including scheduling and covering interviews and compiling press coverage reports.
- Assist in coordinating logistics for interviews, press events, talent appearances, festivals, and screenings
- Maintain and update project calendars and documents with ongoing publicity activities.
- Assist in managing press opportunities, including pitching, media outreach, and interview coordination across multiple territories.
- Work closely with agencies and local PR representatives to ensure alignment on campaign strategies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure cohesive messaging and campaign execution.
- Support junkets, red carpets, and festival publicity efforts as needed.
- Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to identify PR opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree is required
- 4+ years of experience in entertainment publicity, ideally with a focus on international markets and unscripted series.
- Strong relationships with UK/international press and knowledge of media landscapes across key territories.
- Experience working with talent, filmmakers, and high-profile stakeholders.
- Exceptional work ethic, discretion, and strong judgment when handling confidential information
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and follow through on projects.
