We are seeking a temporary Social Listening and Brand Safety Program Manager to lead our 24/7 Social Listening and Rapid Response program. This role oversees the monitoring of social media channels for potential brand safety issues and proactive opportunities, ensuring a quick, effective response. The Social Listening & Brand Safety Program Manager will also be highly involved in Google’s brand channel programming priorities, including content reviews and vetting to ensure social content is well received. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with exceptional operational skills, capable of managing a global, 24/7 program, and thrives in ambiguity and a fast-paced environment.

As a Marketing Specialist, you provide broad strategic direction and help lead execution for complex cross-functional marketing campaigns and projects as a key contributor. You drive the development of marketing strategy for larger products of the clients to increase their product/brand awareness. You collaborate with industry, partner, product, and marketing managers to identify and develop goals, content, and promotion strategy, manage budgets, negotiate sponsorships and participation for optimized outcomes, coordinate all logistics for and manage outside vendors. You serve as a regional expert and “go-to” person in the marketing and/or project marketing field, demonstrating leadership in the broader marketing organization and within a specific team to drive strategic marketing programs. You hold self and team accountable for DEI development and outcomes, set expectations for the team, track progress through measurable results, and engage in learning and reflection. You foster a climate where everyone in the organization feels they belong through encouraging inclusive decision making, building psychological safety in the team, facilitating inclusive meetings, etc.

Responsibilities include:
– Serve as a SME and thought leader within and outside of the organization, developing points of view and standards for advertising and aligning strategic efforts and priorities amongst broader marketing efforts.
– Work with senior marketing leadership across the organization to define project strategy and objectives, spearhead initiatives to meet objectives based on lead generation, customer advocacy, and more, evaluate potential sponsored project opportunities, as well as develop brand new virtual and physical experiences in collaboration with partner marketing and customer marketing teams.
– Manage client relationships for all media planning and partner with global Media teams to ensure strategies are scaled.
– Own development and implementation of pioneering marketing communications strategy to drive media and public amplification across all marketing communications.
– Oversee analysis and insight development from data to uncover new marketing opportunities and audience insights.
– Exercise sound judgment & take swift action to uphold our Core Values & Code of Conduct. Champion and creating psychological safety on the team for multiple perspectives to thrive, being sensitive to cultural norms, expectations, and ways of communicating. Actively mitigates one’s own biases and flexes style to accommodate others while helping others to learn about new identities and cultures to expand their viewpoints and relationships.
– Engage and lead multiple large and/or complex media agencies to elevate their day-to-day work, prioritizing agency workflow as pertains to media.
– Help own the development and implementation of marketing strategies to drive business results, overseeing the positioning and development of content and marketing programs to grow awareness and engagement in key markets across social, on-network and off-network media channels.
– Lead efforts to analyze, track, and report on campaign/project ROI based on predetermined pipeline, revenue, and MQL metrics using customer relationship management (CRM) system or other project management system. Lead efforts to track the ROI effectiveness of each activity (e.g., leads generated, deals influenced, deals closed, cost per lead). Work closely with the sales team leadership across the organization to make sure all campaigns are followed through to maximize the impact of each campaign/project.
– Promote, nurture, and manage external relationships with venues and vendors, including registration agencies or livestream platforms, spatial and audiovisual (AV) planning, activation, swag, food and beverage, virtual vendors, mailer gifting, and speaker agents.
– Enhance a comprehensive internal and external promotion plan that maximizes the awareness and lead generation before, during, and after each project in collaboration with growth, content, and design teams, and using digital tools.
– Own effective partnerships with stakeholders to ensure content and campaigns created for media and social channels are high-quality, reflect our voice, and represent our brand.
– Own the development, implementation, and analysis of creative social media content, social selling programs, employee and leadership activation, and measurement strategies.

Top Skills:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
6 years of experience working in social media marketing and/or corporate communications
3 years experience working in crisis response
Experience reviewing social analytics reports for an executive audience
Experience at large consumer brands, ideally tech experience and/or interest in AI
Experience analyzing social and earned media data from industry-leading social listening software and databases (e.g., Brandwatch, Cision, Meltwater, Talkwalker, Sprinklr, Tubular, and similar).
Analytical mindset with strong quantitative reasoning, creativity, and strategic skills
Experience with social media strategy
