We’re seeking a visionary Software Engineer to develop a first-of-its-kind interactive demo that transforms how neural activations are visualized and understood.
In this role, you’ll design and build a cutting-edge front-end web application that bridges complex scientific research with engaging, intuitive user experiences—helping researchers and the public alike explore the fascinating intersection of neuroscience and AI.
This is an exceptional opportunity to turn abstract data into stunning interactive visualizations, driving both scientific discovery and public engagement.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the development of an interactive 3D brain visualization within a web browser using WebGL and Three.js to deliver high-performance, low-latency graphics.
- Design and implement intuitive UI components for selecting and interacting with preloaded media inputs (images, videos, text).
- Integrate AI model output data to dynamically drive neural activation visualizations.
- Build interactive controls (rotation, zoom, time cursor, play/pause) for an immersive exploration experience.
- Ensure a responsive, accessible, and visually refined design, leveraging internal design systems and a scientific aesthetic.
- Develop a seamlessly integrated front-end solution that connects with existing backend and model infrastructure.
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary research and design teams, iterating based on feedback to enhance the user experience.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Advanced experience in software design and development.
- Advanced experience with Python, including backend development, API creation, and web frameworks.
- Advanced experience in front-end development with WebGL and React.
- Experience in backend web development (Python, PHP).
- Proven expertise in interactive data visualization, media functionality, and browser performance optimization.
- Ability to work independently, manage complex projects, and collaborate effectively with technical and research team
