Your meticulous attention to detail and ability to engage with participants will be vital to the success of projects that aim to revolutionize how we perceive and interact with sound in virtual environments.

What You’ll Do:

  • Support the execution of data collection activities within a state-of-the-art research facility.
  • Collaborate closely with Audio Engineers during data collection campaigns, managing all participant-facing aspects.
  • Guide internal and external participants, ensuring their full understanding of processes, roles, and required tasks.
  • Accurately record and meticulously maintain metadata, upholding exceptional attention to detail and consistency.
  • Liaise with Project Coordinators and other stakeholders to ensure seamless day-to-day operations, including assisting with participant scheduling and organization.
  • Perform thorough data validation on all collected information.
  • Contribute valuable input into planning activities and the design of experiment protocols.
  • Take ownership of running select data collections, including subjective experiments with straightforward technical setups.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent practical work experience), ideally in a relevant field.
  • Proven experience working within a research environment, including the collection of various types of data.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and a meticulous eye for detail, particularly in the recording and management of metadata.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to interact effectively with both participants and colleagues.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheet software (e.g., Excel).
  • Comfortable working within a specialized research environment.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Programming experience (e.g., Python or R).
  • A foundational understanding of audio principles, gained through academic study or practical experience (such as playing a musical instrument).
