We are looking for an experienced Communications Associate to lead entertainment and creator-focused communications across EMEA. This role will shape narratives, deliver high-impact PR campaigns, and help elevate creators and entertainment content through compelling storytelling and strategic media engagement.
You will work closely with regional and global communications teams, as well as cross-functional partners, to drive awareness, usage and excitement around YouTube Entertainment and the creator ecosystem.
Key responsibilities
- Lead communications related to entertainment and creators across the EMEA region.
- Develop clear, engaging narratives and written materials including press releases, blog posts, media pitches, FAQs and briefing documents.
- Brief spokespeople and prepare staff for media interviews, ensuring confident and consistent messaging.
- Devise and execute creative PR campaigns that drive awareness, usage and enthusiasm for YouTube Entertainment.
- Partner with in-country PR teams to secure coverage that spotlights creators in local, trade and consumer media outlets.
- Collaborate with global and regional communications teams to produce EMEA-specific materials that showcase creativity and innovation on YouTube.
- Work cross-functionally with Partnerships, Product, Marketing and leadership teams in Europe and the US to influence strategy and deliver successful launches.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and high editorial standards.
Skills and experience
- Proven experience in communications, PR or media relations, ideally within entertainment, digital media or the creator economy.
- Strong writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to adapt tone and messaging for different audiences and markets.
- Experience developing and executing integrated PR campaigns across multiple countries.
- Confidence briefing senior spokespeople and handling media enquiries.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across regions, cultures and time zones.
- Strategic mindset combined with a hands-on, proactive approach.
