This is a high-ownership Director of Performance Marketing role for a senior operator who wants full accountability for growth.
You’ll enjoy responsibility for the entire performance function – strategy, execution, budget and team – and play a critical role in taking the business from efficient growth to scaled, profitable expansion.
The leadership team is hands-on, commercially sharp, and moves fast. There is very little red tape, real autonomy, and a clear mandate: hit efficiency targets, then scale aggressively.
Key Objectives
- Achieve and sustain a 3.0+ blended ROAS to unlock significant spend increase
- Build and execute a multi-channel performance roadmap aligned to profitability goal
- Scale paid media responsibly while maintaining strong unit economics
- Build and lead a high-performing performance marketing team
What You’ll Own
Performance Strategy & Growth
- Full ownership of performance marketing strategy across paid social, search and emerging channels
- Clear alignment with paid social as the primary lever for scale
- Translate business goals into executable channel and testing strategies
Budget & Channel Leadership
- Ownership of substantial monthly performance budgets
- Decide where to invest, scale or pause spend based on performance and efficiency
- Lead agency relationships and joint business planning
- Bring channels in-house where it makes commercial sense
Team Leadership
- Lead and develop a growing performance squad (senior manager-level and junior hires)
- Create a culture of speed, accountability, experimentation and learning
- Balance strategic leadership with hands-on involvement where required
- Ability to recruit & build the next stage of team growth as the business scales
Creative & Testing Excellence
- Partner closely with the creative strategist lead to build scalable creative systems & a test and learn roadmap
- Champion structured testing frameworks that drive measurable efficiency gains
- Ensure insights are converted into action, not decks
Senior Stakeholder Management
- Act as the senior performance voice within the business
- Communicate clearly and commercially with founders and leadership
- Simplify complex data into decisions the business can act on
The Background We’re Looking For
- Minimum 8 years experience
- Proven experience scaling performance marketing in a high-growth D2C or consumer-led business, with a minimum 7-figure budget
- Strong track record of owning and scaling spend while improving ROAS/CAC
- Experience building and leading performance marketing teams
- Deep paid social expertise and belief in its scalability
- In-house operator mindset
