This organization is at the forefront of digital services, continually pushing boundaries to deliver exceptional user experiences and groundbreaking content.
Imagine yourself at the heart of dynamic marketing initiatives, where your expertise directly shapes how groundbreaking digital services are brought to life for millions worldwide. We are seeking a highly organized and proactive professional to play a pivotal role in the upstream planning, strategic clearance, and execution of marketing campaigns and content creator programs for our digital services across a broad international region. In this exciting position, you will be instrumental in navigating the complex landscape of intellectual property, ensuring our communications are not only world-class but also legally sound and culturally relevant, making a tangible impact on our global reach and creative output.
What you’ll do:
- Act as a strategic advisor to upstream service line of businesses, assessing the feasibility, budget, and legal risk of localizing third-party intellectual property before creative production begins.
- Manage the regional intake and triage process for marketing requests, partnering with the global marketing business affairs team to ensure standard clearances are handled efficiently while respecting regional capacity guardrails.
- Work directly with third-party rights holders to secure permissions and clear rights for a wide array of content, including music, TV/film clips, podcast artwork, software, demo screenshots & videos, icons, logos, game controllers, hardware accessories, photography, names, trademarks, copyrighted materials, and open source software, for various marketing deliverables, including social advertising.
- Coordinate and plan appropriate, locale-specific content to replace centralized marketing content that is not available or suitable for use across the international hub.
- Engage and collaborate with local regional Business Affairs managers when needed for support with local advertising regulatory issues for global campaigns.
- Maintain excellent relationships with internal teams to understand the context of content in deliverables and secure appropriate usage rights.
- Facilitate communication between multiple stakeholders across the organization, providing strategic options to internal teams, and liaising with Legal as needed.
- Maintain effective communication with team leads to ensure information flows properly, action items are clear, and issues are escalated at the right time to the right people.
- Establish, standardize, and scale workflow processes across both local and global levels.
- Maintain detailed documentation to support internal rights management systems, ensuring that cleared content is accurately documented, tracked, and shared across creative disciplines when required.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Relevant experience in the advertising, entertainment, or other media content-focused industry, thriving in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Fluency in an additional European Language
- Strong working knowledge of entertainment licensing, specifically music, podcasts, and digital applications.
- Strong working knowledge of intellectual property rights, including copyright, trademark, and licensing in the area of entertainment and/or advertising law, with emphasis on digital content/technology and creator content (including disclosures).
- Proven track record managing Business Affairs for campaigns that include paid and organic social, influencer-generated content, and short-form video for leading social media and short-form video platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Ability to handle high-level responsibilities and make decisions independently when needed.
- Dynamic and inquisitive problem solver who consistently seeks solutions through thoughtful questioning and in-depth analysis.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively interact with a diverse range of personalities and styles to establish effective relationships across the organization.
- Proficiency in all current document and database systems.
