In this role, you will act as the operational heart of our London-based music studio photography ecosystem. You will oversee photographer resourcing, manage high-profile studio capture spaces, and act as the vital cross-functional bridge between artist relations, photo producers, and internal platform teams.
If you are an expert at navigating artist approvals, optimising studio workflows, and staying completely calm under the pressure of live music and entertainment productions, this is the canvas you’ve been looking for.
What You’ll Get to Do
As the Studio Photo Manager, you will shape how artist visit photography is captured, managed, and delivered across global platforms:
- Studio & Resource Orchestration: Manage day-to-day photographer resourcing and control the schedule and utilisation of our London photo capture spaces.
- Artist & Show Relations: Act as the primary point of contact between radio show producers and studio photographers—managing availability, timeline feasibility, and the delivery of high-stakes assets.
- Asset & Approval Governance: Track monthly artist visits, oversee complex artist approval pipelines, quality-check asset decks, and ensure cross-functional teams (PR, News, and Featuring) have the right assets ahead of strict deadlines.
- Workflow Innovation: Partner with global teams to consult on workflow transitions, build internal process strategies, and update live documentation as our operations expand internationally.
- Cutting-Edge Visual Support: Manage spatial content capture, SOiP (Studio on iPad/iPhone) efforts, and high-profile social collaborations captured right inside our studios.
- Financial Oversight: Manage a quarterly photo studio budget—tracking everything from equipment replacements to live production costs.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate lives at the intersection of premium visual craft and meticulous project management. You should bring:
- Extensive Studio & Photographer Experience: A proven track record managing professional studio photographers, asset delivery, and specialised studio environments.
- Entertainment/Music Industry Savvy: Experience working closely with artist relations teams and a deep comfort level navigating high-profile artist approvals and management hierarchies.
- Process Architect Mindset: A natural ability to build standardised processes out of fluid creative environments, track metrics, notice trends, and pivot staffing strategies accordingly.
- Exceptional Communication & Diplomacy: The ability to advocate fiercely for photographers while seamlessly collaborating with cross-functional corporate teams without missing a beat.
- Calm Under Pressure: You are a motivated self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, constantly-changing environment and remains entirely unfazed by tight deadlines or live production shifts.
- Cultural Alignment: A genuine enthusiasm for contemporary culture, music, and lifestyle, backed by an eye for exceptional detail and craft-focused creative execution.
- Flexibility: Willingness to occasionally support studio captures onsite, which may require travel for shoots, events, and setting up new photographer assignments.
