WHAT IS YOUR CURRENT JOB?
I am a graphic designer and art director for a design agency. I assist companies in developing their image and the development of their products and services, whilst ensuring the overall coherence of their identity and positioning.
WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO TAKE THE RWD COURSE?
About 10 years ago, I learnt some web skills including Dreamweaver and Flash, but digital is constantly changing, especially in recent years, so I wanted to update my skills. Today, with the increases in the way people view content, we must adapt and facilitate navigation for all users. I love that Aquent Gymnasium is free and accessible to everyone and would highly recommend it.
WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNT THROUGH THIS COURSE?
The essential basics of Responsive Web Design: Media queries, responsive images, fluid grids, typography, toggle menus, etc. Each lesson is very well done, and the exercises help to practice the new knowledge.
WILL YOU ADD THIS COURSE TO YOUR CV?
Absolutely. As Responsive is a hot topic at the moment, having this knowledge will certainly help me in my career.
HOW LONG DID IT TAKE TO COMPLETE?
The course consists of 12 lessons, practical work and then a final test. It took me about a month to complete the whole course, as I was fitting it around my schedule. The program allows a lot of flexibility, so could be completed quicker if you wanted to. The length of time it takes also depends on how long you spend on the exercises and reading the attached documents.
