This is a part-time W2 position – Approx 20 hours a week.

This is a remote position but you must reside in or near San Bruno, CA, Hoboken, NJ, Seattle, WA, or Bentonville, AR. 

We are seeking a Content Writer specializing in cross-border imports for our dynamic marketplace team. You will focus on educating sellers about our import freight services from Asia to US-based fulfillment centers. As part of the Content team, you will play a key role in explaining our cross-border programs and services, particularly our international ocean and air freight options.

Responsibilities:

  1. Educational content creation:
    Develop clear, concise, and engaging educational content for sellers, including user guides, FAQs and tutorials, to help them understand and use the program effectively.
  2. Program understanding:
    Deep dive into the complexities of the program, including its new initiatives, such as full and less than container load ocean shipments and air freight, and translate technical details into accessible, user-friendly content.
  3. Stakeholder collaboration:
    Take initiative to work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, UX designers, subject matter experts, and business development, account management and central marketing teams, to gather information and ensure that content remains accurate, consistent and up to date as the program evolves.
  4. Content maintenance:
    Regularly review and update existing content to reflect changes in programs, policies and procedures, ensuring that sellers have the most relevant and reliable information.
  5. Facilitate translations:
    Coordinate with translation teams to provide support for sellers based in China, ensuring that content is effectively localized and accessible to all users.
  6. UX writing support:
    Apply UX writing principles as you may be asked to assist with final reviews from the UX writers.

Qualifications:

  • Support content writing experience:
    Proven experience in support content writing, preferably in the e-commerce or logistics industry, with a focus on educating users about complex systems or processes.
    Must be able to ingest and understand large quantities of detailed information, then express that information in a simple, encouraging, approachable way.
  • User-centric writing experience:
    Experience in crafting user-centric content that simplifies complex concepts and guides users through step-by-step instructions.
  • Strong communication:
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
    The ideal content output is at an 8th grade reading level or lower and is written with localization in mind, since it will be translated into multiple languages.
  • Education for sellers:
    Familiarity with educational content development for sellers, including learning and development strategies that promote user adoption and proficiency.
  • Attention to detail:
    Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and consistency in all written materials, with a keen eye for identifying and correcting errors.
  • Adaptable and proactive:
    Ability to quickly learn new technologies and concepts, adapt to changing priorities and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment. Confident in proactively reaching out to stakeholders across various teams to ask the necessary questions.
  • Storytelling skills:
    Proficiency in storytelling techniques to create engaging and compelling content that resonates with sellers and encourages active participation in programs. Support video scriptwriting experience would be ideal, though not required.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $45.00 to $50.00/ hr. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
