This specific team is deeply integrated with Product, collaborating closely with dedicated motion and visual designers to craft the user experience. While primarily web-focused, there’s significant opportunity to expand into mobile and app design.
Goals & Objectives

They are looking to improve the current search model through a closer partnership with marketing, focusing on how new features and content are being presented to customers, and consequently impacting merchants and advertisers.

The team operates in a dynamic, high-paced environment, constantly adapting to rapid changes and the need for quick feature releases, particularly in the evolving landscape of AI.
Key Role Responsibilities:
Visual Designer
-
Executive Level Presentations: Transform product information and assets into visually engaging presentations, decks, and executive summaries suitable for senior leadership review.

Visual Story Telling: Capture current product experiences through video and other mediums, transforming them into compelling assets for blogs and other communication channels.

Design Systems expertise or familiarity – applying Search Design System principles into our client’s Consumer design system, and supporting UX Designers when they are applying DS components.

Production Design & Updates: Execute on production-level design tasks, such as updating deal pages for timely holiday promotions and creating assets for marketing campaigns, and repurpose existing templates into various styles and formats.

Cross Functional Asset Creation: Develop and adapt visual assets for various business functions, including landing pages, newsletters, client presentations, and internal communications.

Ownership & Innovation: Take ownership of assigned projects, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement and bringing fresh perspectives to existing processes and formats.

Technical Collaboration: Understand the transition of design assets into engineering specifications and collaborate effectively with engineering teams to ensure seamless implementation.

Navigating Ambiguity: Excels in dynamic environments, comfortable handling changing requirements and taking on ad hoc projects as priorities shift.
Animation Motion Candidate

Executive Level Presentations: Transform product information and assets into visually engaging presentations, decks, and executive summaries suitable for senior leadership review.

Motion Graphics & Video Production: Create dynamic motion graphics and quicktime videos to effectively communicate product experiences and influence engineering development.

Ownership & Innovation: Take ownership of assigned projects, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement and bringing fresh perspectives to existing processes and formats.

Technical Collaboration: Understand the transition of design assets into engineering specifications and collaborate effectively with engineering teams to ensure seamless implementation.

Navigating Ambiguity: Excels in dynamic environments, comfortable handling changing requirements and taking on ad hoc projects as priorities shift.

Conceptualization & Prototyping: Generate original design concepts and animations based on product ideas and business needs, leveraging your experience to enhance functionality and user experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Proven experience as a Production Designer with a strong portfolio showcasing both production execution and original design/prototyping work.

Demonstrated ability to create and implement design solutions without pre-existing designs, leveraging your own creative vision

Exceptional motion graphics and video production skills, including experience creating quick-time videos or similar formats
-
Understanding of the design to engineering workflow, and experience collaborating with technical teams.

Proficiency in design softwares such as: Anthony/Mabel to provide input

Experience in preparing high-quality assets for executive level presentations and client facing materials
-
Strong understanding of UX/UI principles and application in production design
-
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines in a fast paced environment

Excellent communication and collaboration skills
-
Ability to thrive in ambiguity and fluidity, demonstrating adaptability and problem solving skills in a dynamic environment
-
Independent with a strong ability to manage work load and projects forward with minimal supervision
-
A proactive and self driven approach with a passion for visual storytelling and innovation

East Coast is preferred for optimal hours coverage. The team is based in the UK, NY, CA, WA, etc.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $65 to $80 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
