Content specialist with backgrounds that include screenwriting, fiction writing, creative nonfiction writing, feature writing, playwriting, etc, to work on prompting content for all use cases, with a specific focus on conversational quality. Workstream in AI Ecosystems Foundations

Context: The main function of a content specialist is to write, review and edit content on platforms often around nuanced and sensitive topics, as well as surface insights around that content. The typical specialist will have excellent editorial judgment, expert writing and editing skills.

A Content Specialist is responsible for creating large collections of editorial content across a variety of conversational contexts. It also may require creating, developing and prompting AIs against an editorial framework. This work entails working closely with content, product, and engineering teams to absorb knowledge, define opportunities, and develop concepts to bring ideas to life, from pitching to prompting to refining content experiences.

We are looking for a strong conceptual thinker with solid creative writing and editing chops that can be flexible against various guidelines, mindful of production details, and have an aptitude for a fast paced, corporate tech environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Write, edit and review content for platforms, ranging from creative copy to straightforward, informative text
  • Perform analysis and produce reports with compelling, actionable insights for our partner teams
  • Apply editorial guidelines to content at scale, maintaining commitment to accuracy and consistency
  • Collaborate with our content and product teams to improve user experience
  • Have the ability to work an extended schedule as requested

Minimum qualifications and skills:

  • 6+ years of experience with creative writing, screenwriting, copy-writing OR experience editing and curating creative writing
  • Prior experience in prompt engineering, annotation and managerial experience preferred
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills and impeccable track record of editorial judgment around nuanced topics (politics, bias, gender, religion etc.) to quality control large datasets of text
  • Familiarity with AP Style
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet apps (e.g. Google Sheets, MS Excel)

Ideal Candidate:

  • Deep knowledge of the social media and digital content landscapes and experience using AI tools
  • Backgrounds with visual experience (photo editing, video production), as well as audio and video expertise

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Creative Writing or related field

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $50.85 to $56.50 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
