As a key technical expert, you’ll bridge the gap between sustainability initiatives and their practical implementation, ensuring our buildings are both environmentally responsible and operationally sound. Be the driving force behind sustainable building solutions. In this role, you will provide critical technical guidance to the Global Realty Sustainability team, evaluating the feasibility of innovative ideas and ensuring they seamlessly integrate with existing building systems. Your expertise will be essential in analyzing energy efficiency measures, water conservation strategies, and other cutting-edge technologies.
Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain design standards for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and sustainability goals.
  • Review and update building design criteria and guidelines, incorporating the latest advancements in sustainable building technologies.
  • Document and standardize MEP engineering specifications, creating a clear framework for sustainable design implementation.
  • Evaluate and recommend sustainable design solutions for mechanical and plumbing systems, maximizing efficiency and minimizing environmental impact.
  • Assess energy efficiency opportunities and propose improvements, contributing to the company’s overall sustainability targets.
  • Analyze building performance data to optimize system designs, ensuring optimal performance and resource utilization.
  • Drive innovation in sustainable building technologies and practices, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in green building design.
  • Review MEP design submissions for compliance with established standards, ensuring quality and adherence to sustainability principles.
  • Provide technical guidance and expertise to internal and external stakeholders, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Ensure design solutions meet sustainability targets and performance requirements, balancing environmental responsibility with operational excellence.
  • Validate engineering calculations and specifications, guaranteeing accuracy and reliability in design implementation.
  • Provide expert technical support to the Global Realty Sustainability team, evaluating the feasibility of proposed solutions and ensuring alignment with existing building systems.
  • Conduct thorough technical analyses of energy efficiency measures, water conservation strategies, and other sustainable building technologies.
  • Play a vital role in pilot program evaluation, assessing new technologies and innovative solutions in collaboration with the Global Realty Sustainability team.
  • Monitor system performance, document results, and provide recommendations for full-scale implementation based on pilot outcomes.
  • Translate sustainable design concepts into practical engineering solutions, developing detailed technical specifications and overseeing installation quality.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in MEP engineering, with a strong focus on sustainable building design.
  • Deep understanding of sustainable building principles, technologies, and best practices.
  • Proven ability to evaluate and implement sustainable solutions in complex building environments.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience in building performance analysis and optimization.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Professional certifications related to sustainable building design (e.g., LEED AP).
  • Experience with pilot program evaluation and implementation.
  • Familiarity with building automation systems and energy management platforms.
