Role Title: Research Analyst
Location: London, hybrid (3 days per week onsite) 
 

About the Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a global team dedicated to supporting government and social impact initiatives through the ethical and effective use of data. This role will focus on managing and maintaining civic and political data sets used to support public sector and non-profit partnerships, with a particular focus on elections and government programmes.

This is a data-focused position requiring an individual who is analytical, detail-oriented, and able to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams. You will ensure data is accurate, compliant with policies, and aligned with global operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the preparation, review, and upkeep of managed partner data sets

  • Conduct manual data collection and desk research on government and political entities

  • Partner with regional teams to review data sets and provide policy-aligned recommendations

  • Perform quality assurance checks on workbooks to ensure completeness and accuracy

  • Analyse large data sets to assess accuracy, trends, and policy alignment

  • Upload and manage data in internal CRM systems

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to review and update data during elections or urgent events

  • Ensure data management processes meet compliance standards and promote fairness

  • Work with engineering teams to test systems, monitor data signals, and troubleshoot anomalies

  • Conduct root-cause analysis to improve support flows and operational efficiency

  • Track and report on key operational metrics to guide future improvements

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • 5–10 years of experience in data operations, project management, or similar roles

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex data

  • Demonstrated experience using data to drive business decisions and validate reports

  • Working knowledge of SQL databases and querying

  • Proficient in Excel and familiar with data analysis tools such as Python or SQL

  • Strong organisational skills and a high attention to detail

Desirable Qualifications & Experience:

  • Knowledge of government and election processes, political parties, and legislative systems

  • Experience working in or alongside public sector or non-profit organisations

  • 2+ years working with scripting languages (e.g., Python, R)

  • Experience with data pipelines, systems engineering, or technical project management
