About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled DevOps Engineer with strong AWS expertise to join a high-impact team focused on building and scaling critical infrastructure for global logistics and transportation systems. This role involves working on high-scale, high-availability systems and driving projects from concept to deployment across multiple AWS regions.
You’ll play a key role in expanding infrastructure globally, migrating dependencies, and supporting modernisation efforts using cutting-edge tools and practices. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys problem-solving, automation, and creating robust, scalable solutions.
Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement automated deployment pipelines for AWS-based infrastructure

Develop infrastructure as code (IaC) using AWS CDK and related tools

Leverage internal tools to convert legacy infrastructure into IaC format

Migrate cloud-based resources (e.g. S3, RDS, DynamoDB) across AWS regions

Work closely with development teams to implement effective monitoring, alerting, and operational best practices

Offer guidance on AWS standards, tooling, and scalable cloud solutions
Essential Skills & Experience:

3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS services and SDK

Proficient in AWS CDK and infrastructure-as-code best practices

Strong understanding of container technologies such as Docker, ECS, or Kubernetes

Solid programming skills in one or more languages (e.g. Java, Python, TypeScript)

Experience in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines

Familiar with observability tools, logging frameworks, and performance monitoring
Desirable Skills:

Background in serverless technologies (e.g. Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway)

Experience with data tools like EMR, Glue, or Apache Spark

Understanding of event-driven architecture (EventBridge, SNS, SQS)

Knowledge of AWS database offerings including DynamoDB and RDS

Familiarity with multi-region deployments and failover strategies

AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer) preferred
